Also, MUSEUM INTERNATIONAL had an entire issue devoted to gender issues
pulled froma Women in Museums seminar in Copenhagen in June 1990. The
issue was published in 1991. It is the quarterly journal of UNESCO.
There was also a one-time newsletter as a result of that seminar. The
same group has been trying to get organized as a committee of ICOM,
but it hasn't materialized yet. In the U.S., there is usually a session
at the annual AAM meeting for women museum directors. Formerly there was
a "women's caucus" but it no longer exists. However, I think some energetic
person could get it going again without too much effort.
