This isn't a pointer to specific research items, but you might look to 
Science Central in Fort Wayne. It's an outstanding facility, well-received 
by the community and well-used. The staff may have the kind of resources you 
need, and could probably give you some powerful anecdotal evidence. And it's 
not so far from Bowling Green that you couldn't visit and see for yourself, 
if you want.
