Excuse my ignorance, when I first read this, I assumed this was about substituting
fluorescent bulbs for incandescent/halogen bulbs.
From the responses, it seems that the "safety" issue is about halogen bulb doing something
that is unsafe. I use them in my studio for the simplicity and color matching qualities,
and have not seen a safety problem. Well, it you touch a bulb that is in use, you will
get burned.
