My first semester of grad school (working on my masters in Environmental
Interpretation) I was asked to teach an exhibit design course. Talk about
the blind leading the blind! I had never designed an exhibit in my life. I
would have been sunk if I hadn't discovered Arminta Neal's books, Help! For
the Small Museum and Exhibits for the Small Museum. Today, almost 30 years
later, I STILL have not designed any exhibits, but I do have a pretty good
idea of the difference between good and bad textual interpretation!
