Director of Public Program & Community Outreach, Full Time
AAM-accredited, community-responsive County History Museum and Historic
House in Troy, New York, seeks an energetic and creative full-time educator
to organize and implement year-round public programs for adults and
families.  Position is also responsible for continuing the Museum's
community outreach effort, to encourage Renselaer County ethnic, civic and
cultural groups as well as businesses and educational institutions.
Willingness to participate in the museums shared vision as part of a
collaborative team consisting of board, staff, and volunteers is critical.
Salary is low to mid $20,000 plus benefits depending on experience,
Qualifications,: BA in American Studies, Art History, or Education; MA
preferred.  At least 2-4 years experience in the museum field and/or

Education Coordinator, Part-Time
AAM-accredited, community responsive County History Museum and Historic
House in Troy, New York, seeks an energetic and creative part-time educator
to organize and conduct school and group tours relating to the history of
Rensselaer County.  Position also includes training docents for guided
tours of the Museum's 1827 Hart-Cluett Mansion and working with the
curatorial team on a furnishing study and interpretive plan for the
mansion.  Willingness to participate in the museum's shared vision as part
of a collaborative team consisting of board, staff and volunteers is
critical. At least 20 hours a week, $8.00-$10.00 hourly wage depending on
experience.  Qualifications: BA in American Studies, Art History or
Education; MA preferred.  At least 1-2 years experience in the museum field
and/or teaching in an educational institution.  Send cover letter and c.v.
