Since I've gotten several requests for instruction on how to upload a
resume (or CV) to the http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MuseJobs
(MuseJobs) list, I am reforwarding the instructions I sent to that
group to this list.  Please understand that you must join the list to
use the feature.  However, you do not have to take email.  You can go
no mail and read and post off the web.

Look at the left frame.  Do you see a section called Files?  Click on
it.

Now, do you see where it says Add File?  There you go.

If you would like to upload your resume for the museums hiring world
to see, feel free to do so.

First, stop and run your document through virus-protection software to
make sure you're not infected.

When you go to upload your file you'll see the following:

File Name:

Description:

Notification: Send a message to the group announcing this file.

Where it says File Name, be sure it is named with your name as in
indigonights.doc

Where it says Description, please be sure that it says YOUR NAME, the
date, and software.  Example Indigo Nights, 02/01/02, MS Word 2000

Where you see the box to notify the group, I suggest you do.

NOW, be prudent.  This is the internet afterall.  Don't put your home
address and phone number if you don't want the world to see it.  Do
include your email and let them know you'll provide more information
upon request.

Go for it!  That's what we're here for!!!

P.S.  I know I don't have to tell you this, but use your spell checker
before you upload.  You have something like less than 10 seconds to
make a good impression on your prospective employer when (s)he looks
at it.
