May I suggest that you contact Wendy Whitfield, curator of the Haldimand
County Museum, PO Box 38 Cayuga ON N0A 1E0 (Canada), voice: (905) 772-5880,
FAX: (905) 772-1725. Last year, Wendy had a wonderful exhibition of quilts,
some dating from the very early years of the 19th century, if not earlier,
and all hung vertically. I have never seen such superbly preserved
specimens, in such quantity and I am sure Wendy would be pleased to help
anyone. She turned a moribund museum around within mere weeks of her arrival
and is a remarkable small museum curator.
