Two collections management positions will be open at the Museum of Indian
Arts & Culture/Laboratory of Anthropology, Santa Fe. Both are two-year term
positions. Applications must be submitted to the State of New Mexico

Assistant Collections Manager
40 hours per week, two-year term position
This position will assist the collections manager in all phases of the
implementation of a National Endowment for the Humanities documentation of
collections grant. The assistant collections manager will be responsible for
assisting staff and project consultants in the documentation of museum
artifacts; compiling data on individual museum objects by researching museum
records; inventorying museum objects and resolving location and
identification problems; relocating and manufacturing storage mounts for
artifacts; recording digital images; and updating computerized catalogue
records.
Education: Bachelor's degree in anthropology, history, Native American
studies, or museum studies.
Experience: Two years of experience in museum collections management or
registration; 6 units of course work in museum registration may be
substituted for six months of experience.
Assistant Collections Manager
15 hours per week, two-year term position
This position will assist the collections manager in the implementation of a
