THE CLARK CENTER FOR JAPANESE ART is accepting applications for a Curatorial
Intern. The internship will begin September 1, 2000 and will last for ten
months. The intern will assist the curator in all aspects of museum
management ranging from cataloging and researching the collection, updating
the database, and acquisitions, to writing object labels and giving docent
tours. Applicants should hold a Master's Degree in Japanese Art History,
have a working knowledge of Japanese, computer skills, and excellent writing
skills. The intern will also be encouraged to conduct personal research. A
research travel grant of $3,000 is offered in addition to the $15,000
stipend. Candidates should submit cover letter, resume, and two letters of
recommendation to:
