Chuck,

If you would consider an electronic counter we can help you. We make large
format LED displays with any number of digits you want. The digits can
range in size from 1 inch to 7 inches high.

We recently finished a combination 5 digit and 4 digit counter for a Natural
History Museum for an exhibit on dogs. The counters ticked up the number
(based on averages) of dogs adopted and put to sleep. Unfortunately, the 5
digit display is for the euthanasia.

Currently we do not have much information on the variety of counter/numeric
displays on our website but you can look at our Versatile Timer Module info
which has a single 2.25" digit.

Give me a call if this is something which may be of interest to you and we
can discuss your needs. It may be possible to add some "effects" which make
the counter look like it is moving the digit up as with an odometer.

Have you ever used a large odometer-style counter in an exhibit? If you know
of a source, please contact me directly at [log in to unmask] We're looking
for a rotating drum type, similar to what you probably have in your car,
only much larger--say, 1 to 3 inches (or 25-75mm) digits. We will probably
want it about five or six digits wide, to count up to 100,000 or 99,999. I'd
rather buy one than make one! Thanks much!
