EXHIBITS DESIGNER


          The San Diego Historical Society which operates four historic museums,
          seeks an experienced, creative, self-motivated individual to design, plan,
          and install exhibitions of historic objects, photographs, and fine art.
          Responsible for all phases of design and fabrication of changing
          exhibitions, development of department budget for exhibitions and
          equipment needs.  Assists with internal building/museum repairs as
          required.  Proficiency in computer planning programs and Macintosh
          graphics programs.

          Qualifications:

          B.A. in Fine Arts or Design.  Minimum of three years relevant experience
          in installation and fabrication for a museum or art gallery.  Experience in
          supervision of preparator and management of sub-contractors.
