Seinfeld is absolutely RIFE with art references.
The Kramer painting episode (which also quotes one of Neil Simon's plays, I
think) where George buys a painting from Jerry's GF; the triangle sculpture
artist BF of Elaine's, where George buys one of his sculptures and wishes
that the guy would die for it to increase in value...and the "close talker"
episode where said fellow takes Elaine and Mr & Mrs Seinfeld to the
Met...there are probably more...(I have a minor untreatable addiction to
this masterpiece of sitcomdom)
Candace Perry (who is not, thankfully, wasting the tax payers' money)

Expanding study to movies and theater pieces may broaden the subject too
much, but there are numerous interesting apprearances of art, artists, and
museums in films and the whole play "Art" as well about a delicious white
painting.

I always liked that Ross from Friends worked at a museum. Our jobs are so
sexy!!

Performance art always seems to be good sitcom fodder and has made an
episode of Friends. And Murphy Brown's artist friend - did he ever take a
bath? I seem to remember an artist episode of Gilligan's Island, but that
was a long time ago - some guy with a beard and a beret?

Cheers didn't have much art except Diane's constant highbrow banter. And
MASH didn't really have much of an opportunity to explore art, but Col
Potter painted for a while, and he made an awful painting of Klinger.

Yes, sign me up for this conversation...
