Researchers at the State Museum have discovered in the Catskills what is 
believed to be the world's most intact fossil of Earth's oldest tree

It is a dinosaur garden because Highland School has a set of dinosaur tracks 
in its courtyard that were donated by Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill in 
the mid-1980s

The reason they are so rare, Murphey said, is that during the late 
Cretaceous Period (about 75 million years ago) what today is coastal San 
Diego County was under the ocean and dinosaur skeletons had to be washed in

poacher, researchers have unearthed the fossil remains of a dinosaur 
"missing link," a primitive plant-eater that had recently evolved from the 
carnivorous raptors, which also produced modern birds
