Hello -

I asked one of our furniture conservators here, and he referred me to the
following:

There is an article on-line titled "A Carpenter's Chest: Tools of the 15th
entury" by Lord Findlaech mac Alasdair at
http://moas.atlantia.sca.org/topics/wood.htm. As for the hardware, start
with the archives of the Society for Creative Anacronism, a group of
medieval and Rennaisance re-enactors, at www.sca.org.

Best wishes,
Ann N'Gadi
