I am a Museum Studies student writing a paper on the role of the Museum
Director.  I am especially interested in the education or experience the
Director should have.  My question to you is, should the Museum Director
be a subject matter specialist (history, art, science, etc.) or should
he/she be a business management specialist?  I'm assuming the ideal
candidate would have both, but in the absence of both, which in your
opinion is more important?  Any responses would be greatly appreciated.
