To Whom This May Concern,

I was hoping that you might be able to include the following information on
your web site.

The Midwest Museums Conference (MMC) will hold its annual conference
October 28-31, 1998 in Madison, Wisconsin, in the recently opened Monona
Terrace Community and Convention Center, a beautiful lakeside structure
designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. This year's theme is "Forward! Money,
Mission and Priorities". Keynotes include: "The Enterprising Mission" by Dr.
William J. Moynihan, president of the Milwaukee Public Museum; "Money Mission,
Priorities: Steering a Prudent Course" by Marie C. Malaro, George Washington
University; and "Doing It in Public" by Edward T. Linenthal, Dept. of
Religious Studies, Univ. of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. Choose your favorite "hot
topics" from thirty concurrent sessions, network with colleagues at various
Standing Professional Committee and State Association events, pick-up new
ideas in the Exhibition Hall which features more than thirty vendors, and
visit some of Wisconsin's most interesting museums on specialized tours.
Accomodations are available at the Madison Concourse Hotel. Basic
Registration: $135 MMC members, $165 non-members, $50 student; after Sept.
28, $160 members, $190 non, $70 student. For more information, contact:
David Tanner, MMC, PO Box 11940, St. Louis, MO 63112-0040; (314) 454-3110; fax
(314) 454-3112; or e-mail <[log in to unmask]>.

Thank you!

Sincerely yours,
David M. Tanner, Director
Midwest Museums Conference
