MUSEUM SITE INTERPRETIVE TEAM LEADER - Position 00033.  The
Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is recruiting for a qualified individual
to assist with daily operations and historical interpretation including
training, supervision, assignment and evaluation of staff in James Fort;
exhibit oversight; and the development and presentation of interpretive
programs and special events. SALARY: 25,881 - $27669 WITH STATE BENEFIT
PACKAGE AND PARTICIPATION IN FOUNDATION'S TRAINING ACADEMY TO QUALIFY:
Applicant must possess strong and effective oral communication skills;
ability to present and maintain a warm and enthusiastic demeanor with
visitors and co-workers; working knowledge of and ability to use
recognized teaching, interpretive and evaluation methods and techniques;
ability to read, assimilate and communicate historical information;
ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as a team leader
and/or member; historical knowledge of 17th-century Virginia history and
culture; demonstrated ability to interpret and/or produce historical
crafts/educational programs; ability to train, lead and supervise;
demonstrated managerial/supervisory, organizational and administrative
skills; demonstrated skills in teaching and training adults, working
with the public and other museum professionals.  Experience in
supervising along with considerable experience with public contact,
costumed interpretation or teaching experience and educational or
interpretive program development experience. BA degree in
administration, education, museum studies or history preferred.  Submit
