What comes to mind immediately are the harmful effects of UV light on paper
and on some kinds of colours.

Some of the portable flashlights, and presumably most of the recent studio
flashlight systems have filters inside of the reflector or around the flash
bulb / tube that should retain most or all of the UV light emitted by the
latter.

To be on the safe side, I would check with manufacturer's specifications.
