Try a university or public library system with old issues of women's magazines. Look for bride's magazines, too. There would probably be something of use. You might also be able to find an old Sears or other department store catalog.

Good afternoon, everyone,

We are developing an exhibit celebrating the 50th anniversary of the
Tennessee sit-in movement, and I am trying to locate something for our
textile curator. She is looking for the 1960 prices for a variety of
clothing articles as part of a department store exhibit space.

I am unsure where to start. I tried internet searches, but most of
these searches yielded vintage clothing for sale with current market
prices. I have found one site, but she is specifically looking for
prices for the following types of clothing:

A woman's fancy hat
A bride's dress
A child's bridesmaid dress
A fox stole
A black wool suit

If you can point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful!
