Greetings,
I have a question for you all. At our museum we recently received a
rubber police uniform trench coat c.1940's. Unfortunately it smells so
strongly of cigarette smoke that we do not want to put it in storage and thus
cause the whole collection to smell like smoke. We are a small museum with
only one closet for storage of all objects. . So my question is, does
anyone have any suggestions as to how we can get the offensive smell out?
Any and all suggestions are welcome. Feel free to reply off list.
