We have been contacted by the Safe Place organization with a request to
become a Safe Place which involves becoming a safe location or runaway
youth or trouble youth to come. We would then contact the
"professionals." This program has evidently been very successful in
malls and other more traditional gathering places for young people. Our
local office of Safe Place is indeed located in a mall.
Have any Museums had experience with this program and, if so, what are
your experiences? We are obviously concerned about any legal
liabilities. I would appreciate anyone's comments.
