My first advice is that you contact AIC (phone: 202/232-6636
Fax: 202/232-6630) and get the name of an archaeological conservator in
your area for advice/assistance.

There are a number of textbooks and articles regarding conservation at
archaeological sites, one of which is:

<A Conservation Manual for the Field Archaeologist> by Catherine Sease,
published in 1987 at UCLA. ISBN: 0-917956-59-1.

In the meantime, keep the bone/antler covered to prevent drying.

Good luck!
