I don't think anyone in this thread has mentioned yet the Musee d'Orsay
in Paris, which is a major example of an art museum in a former railway
station.

The National Railway Museum in York, U.K. (part of the National Museum
of Science and Industry (http://www.nmsi.ac.uk/nrm/)) incorporates a
station as one of its buildings.
