Marc, here are several vendors offering low-temperature storage (you should be able to copy and paste the list into an Excel workbook).

Note that most of them are in the food storage business, but also offer storage of museum artifacts. These vendors' definition of low-temperature storage, I am told, is 0° Fah.

Americold Logistics	Michael Bush	Director of Sales	610-366-2230	[log in to unmask]
DocuStore Archives, Inc.	Cheryl Carey	Sales Manager	313-834-2900	[log in to unmask]
US Cold Storage	Michael Radnoti	VP National Sales	708-442-6660	[log in to unmask]

If the Studio Museum in Harlem is allowed to use New York City Requirements Contracts (I'm not sure), you should also know that we are setting a Requirements Contract that include sub-freezing storage of photographic materials. We anticipate having the contract in place next summer. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this Requirements Contract.

Best regards.

Fred

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] cold storage

We, the studio Museum in Harlem, are the guardian of a extremely valuable collection of photographic negatives. Most of them are acetate base and are showing great signs of deterioration and oxidation. The only way for us to stop this process would be to store them in a cold (40 F, 35-45% RH) storage. Does anybody would have recommandations for a reliable, safe, climate controlled cold storage in the Northeast area?
Thank you
