Picking a nit here: this is the second time "The Scream" was stolen, but
only sort of. A different version of it was stolen last time, from a
different museum. According to the New York Times, the robbers were
armed - and I for one would not expect anyone on my security staff to take a
bullet for a painting.

People keep saying the picture was only hanging on a wire, as though this
was insufficient - does everybody but me bolt their paintings to the wall
with security hangers? Really? We have some pictures with extra hardware
but a lot of the bigger things are hanging on a nail on d-rings or wire.
I'm curious about this as well.
