Dear List,
I am appraising a painting for a client that is
causing me a bit of trouble. The painting is a
portrait of a young man on laid paper. There is a
signature in the top left corner but it has faded and
I am unable to read it. It appears to be of the 19th
century. According to my client, he inherited this
piece from a great aunt who lived in England most of
her life. Is there any qualified person who would
mind taking a look at this painting and telling me
what you think? I have never come across anything
quite like it. Any insight would be truly
appreciated.
Thank you in advance
Christian Trabue
