IMLS Hires New Public Affairs Officer

Washington, DC--Jeannine Mjoseth has been hired as the new public
affairs officer of the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the
premier federal agency supporting museum and library programs and
research.

"We're extremely pleased to welcome Jeannine Mjoseth to the Institute,"
said Anne-Imelda Radice, Ph.D., director of the Institute. "Ms.
Mjoseth's work with older people, who have played and will continue to
play key roles in our nation's museums and libraries, will be especially
valuable at the IMLS."

Ms. Mjoseth has worked with numerous publications and brings almost 20
year of journalism experience to her position. Prior to joining the
Institute, Mjoseth worked for seven years in the communications office
of the National Institute on Aging (NIA), National Institutes of Health.
While at the NIA, Mjoseth directed the highly successful Vital

attitudes towards older people. She conducted media-related projects on
a wide range of health care issues as well as media training for
mid-career scientists.
