Mr. Freed,
I interned at Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, VT. It is largely outdoors with
several historic structures. It has seasonal hours. From about November to
April, it is completely closed. Then there is a limited season in the spring
and fall (April to June and around September to November) where only a
portion of the buildings are open. Main season, from June to September finds
all or most of the buildings open. They also have quite a large seasonal
staff. I don't why they decided to do it this way (Probably due to the
winter weather in VT and the lack of visitation it causes). You can contact
the folks there for their advice at www.shelburnemuseum.org. It is really a
neat place. You should go if you haven't had the opportunity to yet.

Cheers,
Chris Godbold
