For what it's worth, there is a jail museum in Ontario at the
following address:
Huron Historic Gaol
Huron County Museum
110 North Street
Goderich
Ontario N7A 2T8

Apparently the facility was in use from 1842-1972! I have not visited but
have heard that the interpretation date is " Victorian"
