We're working with a major collection of African and African-American Art in
the southern US. The collection includes paintings, prints, textiles,
sculpture, photography, and some in situ works. Ideally, we would like to
hire two appraisers: one African Art specialist; and one African-American
Art specialist who may also be a generalist for other significant modern and
contemporary paintings in the collection. The collection contains some
1500-2000 works and the appraisal needs to be completed by January 31, 2002.
Experienced appraisers who have worked with museum collections in these
areas should contact: Geri Thomas, President, Thomas & Associates, Inc.,
212.625.2011; fax: 212.625.2514; www.artstaffing.com Please send cover
letter, resume, and indicate all fees. Cheers!
