Barbara,

You might want to contact the following modern recording companies who have
issued CDs recently of 78 rpm discs. They will know all about the copyrights
and licensing agreements. Contact:

Rounder Records Corp.
One Camp Street
Cambridge, MA 02140 or http://www.rounder.com

Alma Criolla Records
2926 Otis Street
Berkeley, CA 94703

Arhoolie Productions, Inc.
10341 San Pablo Ave.
El Cerrito, CA 94530

Or see if you can find Dr. Karl Signell at the University of Maryland,
College Park
(the school should have a website) who used to run the Center for Turkish
Music -- they were also re-issuing 78 rpms discs in recent years.

You or the exhibit organizers should consider pressing a CD to sell at the
exhibit of the music you use. People will definitely want to take it home --
it's so different and so cool. CDs can sell well with a little promotion
and are an easy source of earned
income for the museum to off-set the exhibit costs.

Have fun!
