I have to second what Vanessa wrote. Past Perfect is outstanding database
software. It covers the spectrum of tools needed to store records for your
items. The tech support is also top notch and the reps will go out of their
way to assist you no matter if it is a tech problem or just a 'how do I do
this...' type question. You can download a free trial version from their
website and give it a try. Rick

Subject: Re: Are small institutions using PastPerfect?

The small archives/museum in which I work utilizes Past Perfect 3.5 to the
fullest. So far over 3000 items have been stored with over 3500 images. We
have been using the program since the beta version of 3.0 and I absolutely
love it. Not only is the program great but the company is in itself a great
source for museums. Whenever we have had a problem with software or it does
not do what we specifically require they are very helpful either providing
computer support or an update. I would be careful in what you switch to
because many libraries/museums/archives are trying to make the programs they
use interchangable for future purposes. Hope this was of some help. Vanessa
