Assistant Manager for Membership Information Systems

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums, seeks an Assistant Manager For Membership Information Systems.  This person will assist with the management of the Membership/Development database system, PledgeMaker, and the daily financial processing functions of the Membership department.  Other responsibilities include supervising and training 6 data-entry staff on computer applications and procedures; balancing financial reports from data-entry batches and database reports; creating, editing, and running reports written in Business Objects and SQL+; creating and verifying Membership cards and acknowledgment files daily; acting as liaison with the IS&T department to coordinate technical issues and hardware and software installations; researching and implementing procedural and technical enhancements; creating and electronically transferring monthly renewal notices and telemarketing lists to vendors; and providing telephone support for Member inquiries from the web site, and other related duties as required.

Successful candidates will possess supervisory experience in a high volume, customer-driven membership or visitor services environment. Must be a self-starter and an independent worker with excellent communication skills.  Should be able to troubleshoot departmental hardware and software applications.  Should have statistical analysis and forecasting experience.  Experience in any of the following technologies is preferred: PledgeMaker, Raiser's Edge, Oracle, Business Objects, SQL, and Crystal Reports. Bachelor's degree or at least 4 years related experience, required.
