Thank you for all of your responses....the internship does not have to be
paid.  Of course if it is paid it would help defer some of the expenses I
would have to pay for housing and etc...but it is not a necessity.  Some
more details about the internship is that it is 500 hours up to 12-14
weeks...I would specifically want to work with cataloging yet I would have
to be exposed to some other aspects of museum work, i.e.  exhibits,
education, interpretation etc.
