Our museum is celebrating Dr. Suess' birthday by having a "make your own
book" craft in the art center and story times featuring various Dr. Suess
stories. The craft is easy enough to be done with minimal supervision.
Construction paper can be cut into quarters and then hole punched on one
side to represent the binding. Yarn can be woven in and out of the holes
and tied in a bow and that is a simple home-made book. Children can then
write and illustrate their own story.

Hope this helps.
