Hello!

I would suggest buying a large roll of ethafoam (chemically inert); it
can easily be cut to size and provides protection from abrasion, etc.  We
have gotten ours quite inexpensively in the past from Gladon, Inc. in
Milwaukee (800-448-6070).  At the time, a 300' x 48' roll cost about $148.
