This is in response to inquiries regarding the registration and hotel costs for the 1998 Museum Computer Network Conference (September 23 - 26, 1998, Santa Monica, CA).

EARLY REGISTRATION (by July 31, 1998)
MCN member rate:   $300
Non-member rate:   $350
Student rate:    $175 (for full-time students with student ID)

REGISTRATION AFTER JULY 31:
MCN member rate:    $350
Non-member rate:    $400
Student rate:     $225

DAY REGISTRATION (for single day):
MCN member rate:    $175
Non-member rate:    $225

The conference hotel is the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel.  The special conference rate is $180 for single or double occupancy rooms. (Large ocean-view rooms are available at $220 and suites are $400.)  Note that the regular rate for this four-star hotel is upwards of $245 for a single room.

All rates are in U.S. dollars.
