I don't recall seeing the original note on this subject. However, I do know
that the Aviation Museum at Rogins Air Force Base has an exhibit on the
Tuskegee Airmen. The museum has an archives library which has some
information on this subject.

The address is: Museum of Aviation
                        78th Air Base Wing/MU
                        1942 Heritage Blvd.
                        Robins AFB, GA 31098-2442

Phone #: (912)-926-4242

Hope this helps you.
