We are a small art museum with computerized permanent collection records in an Access database. The fields and the terms entered in those fields do not follow standard terms such as those from the Art and Architecture Thesaurus. Our museum would like to consider re-entering the permanent collection information using standardized terms that apply to our collection of American art and craft. Are there Registrars, Collections Managers and Curators out there who might provide us with some guidance on embarking on such a project? Many thanks!
