Ah! Those who believe that the "grass is greener on the other side of the
hill"!

Perhaps it would have been more accurate for me to have said in my earlier
memo that you will encounter both "disciples" and the "better grass seekers"
in the museum database world. I have tried to steer a middle road.

I have used one application for our museum collection for 11 years now. It
works and has some very good qualities, but I do feel some frustrations in
its limitations and in its dated format so I have been looking at newer
programs. I don't mind changing programs if I feel that the museum and our
staff and visitors will benefit, but I want to make it a smooth and well
thought out transition so that we don't lose ground.
