I am wondering how best to treat a velvet & silk hand-embroiered tapestry that has
suffered rather severe mold on three of its four pannels. It was mounted directly to a
sheet of plywood and sealed behind glass. It is now free from its wood and glass
housing and awaiting the next step.

Unfortunately there is no background or history of this piece at my disposal. Each of
the four pannels features an elaborate appliqué of a different religious figure with
hand-drawn facial details. Each is decorated with gold and silver threading. My
attempts to attach an image have been rejected. Any assistance in identifying this
piece would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
