We are opening a private community art museum in Tallahassee, Florida's
Capital, and I am in the midst of exhibition planning. The institution
does not currently own a permanent collection, but we will begin to
collect after opening in January 1999. So, the planning of travelling
exhibitions for a 5,000 square foot space is constant. Is anyone on the
list planning an exhibition that might be appropriate to travel to
Tallahassee? Our mission is broad so all periods and media are being
considered. Shows could be large or smaller.

The opening exhibition is "Florida: The State of the Arts", a show
including objects from the collections of over 45 museum in this state.
Other shows include a Blue and White Porcelain exhibition (could
travel), a folk art show examining holidays of Halloween through New
Year's, a garden photography exhibition, an exhibition of works from the
Gainsborough House in Suffolk (could travel), and a possible Deborah
Butterfield exhibition.

Any ideas? Please e-mail me at [log in to unmask]
