John --

We used black volara, 1/8" thick, as padding under baskets in our recent
reinstallation. It's a flexible foam mat that our conservator recommended.
It was quite easy to manage and to cut into irregular shapes to customize
the pad for each basket. This protects object and glass shelf without being
visually obtrusive. I recommend it.

Subject: exhibit cloth or felt?
