Narration Program Coordinator
Interpretive and Guest Services

Oversees maintenance and growth of the narration program, pre-show
program and orientation program. Directly supervises narrators and
explores ways to make their performances edutaining.  Works with
consultant to ensure overall narration program quality.  Directly
manages Narrators.  Explores the creative use of props and costumes.
Works with museum theater consultant to conduct quarterly assessments of
program.  Oversees orientation programs for general public and groups.
Oversees marine mammal presentation pre-show program.  Sets Collaborates
with Director of Husbandry and Direct of Public Affairs to ensure
appropriate message development.  Provides narrations, pre-shows and
orientations on a regular basis to keep current with program needs.
Develops and manages narration program and orientation program budgets,
including monthly status reporting and quarterly forecasting.  Maintains
familiarity with current museum theater trends.

Position Specifications:
Bachelor's degree in museum theater, science, education, interpretation
or other related discipline. Minimum of one year's experience training
and supervising staff.  Minimum of two year's experience in theater,
interpretation or museum education.  Financial management experience
including budget  development and forecasting preferred.  Background in
developing educational programs highly preferred.  Excellent
communication, organizational and problem-solving skills .
