LSU MUSEUM OF ART SUMMER FELLOWSHIPS

LSU MUSEUM OF ART CURATORIAL FELLOWSHIP

One summer fellow will be chosen to assist the LSU Museum of Art’s curator Dr. Katie Pfohl in ongoing collection research to support the Museum’s reinstallation of its permanent art collection, which will be unveiled in November 2015.  The selected fellow will contribute to ongoing collection research, help develop wall labels and gallery texts, and assist with installation preparation. 

Graduate and undergraduate students in art history or related fields with an interest in curatorial studies and American art are encouraged to apply. A background in Southern art is desired but not required. Fellows will be expected to work 8 weeks between June 15 and August 15, 2015.

LSU MUSEUM OF ART EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY FELLOWSHIP

One summer fellow will be chosen to assist the LSU Museum of Art’s educator Lucy Perera in developing educational programs and materials to accompany the museum’s reinstallation of its permanent art collection, which will be unveiled in November 2015.  The selected fellow will help develop interactive educational materials for the Museum’s galleries, design educational programs to accompany the reinstallation, and assist with LSU Museum of Art summer educational programming.

Graduate and undergraduate students in arts education, art history or related fields with an interest in museum education are encouraged to apply. Strong graphic design and digital media skills are required. Fellows will be expected to work 8 weeks between June 15 and August 15, 2015.
