The Florida Association of Museums is excited to announce the opening of registration for the upcoming FAM/Disney Emergency Practices workshop, scheduled for April 10, 2014. To register for the workshop please click here:

http://www.flamuseums.org/professional-development/workshops/spring-2014-workshops/

This workshop, intended for galleries, libraries, musuems, archives, zoos, aquaria, and botanic gardens professionals with some experience in emergency planning for collections, will provide an overview of how to organize, deploy, and assess drills – to help staff put into practice emergency processes and procedures. Participate in a real behind-the-scenes drill at Disney with experienced drill planners and debrief with colleagues to learn how to develop drills for your organization. Space is limited for this workshop, with a maximum of 20 participants.

The workshop will then be followed by a FAM Mixer/ graduation ceremony for the Florida Connecting to Collection Program that will be held from 5-7pm at the Osceola County Heritage Society. More information on that event can be found here:

We hope to see you there!
