Art, Architecture & Design Call For Papers

2006 Mid-Atlantic Popular/American Culture Association
Annual Conference – Baltimore, Maryland
October 27-29, 2006

As the phrase "the fine arts" is theoretically inseparable from the
dialectic of its institutional history and that of visual culture,
socio-historical context, or the model of anthropology, this forum invites
papers investigating both mediums of the fine arts on their own or through
their intersections with other cultural arenas. Topics include painting,
sculpture, architecture, printmaking, photography, design, fashion,
electronic media, installation, and land art—either medium-based or within
an interdisciplinary context. Proposals for entire sessions and professors
interested in coordinating sessions of graduate or undergraduate student
papers are welcome.

Deadline for Proposals: June 15, 2006.

Please send a one-page proposal, CV & audio-visual needs to: Rett Lorance &
Raphy Sarkissian, School of Visual Arts
63-09 108 Street, 7B, Forest Hills, NY 11375
