The Provincial Museum of Alberta, here in Edmonton, has a VERY popular BUG ROOM.
Open for about a year, the exhibit includes live beetles, tarantulas,
scorpions and cockroaches in their natural habitats. Public programming includes:
the Bug Club, Bug Camps, Saturday Matinee Bug flicks (incl. "The Deadly Mantis"
and "Godzilla vs. Mothra" and "The Fly"), and Bug Safari. Next month, the
exhibit "Masters of the Night: The True Story of Bats" opens for a four month
visit. I'm just an observer. If you want more information, contact Dr. Bruce
McGillivray, Assistant Director, Curatorial and Collections Administration,
Provincial Museum of Alberta, 12845 - 102 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, T5N
0M6. FAX (403) 454-6629. I'm not sure that Bruce is "on-line", cybernetically
speaking.
