Unfortunately, this list perpetuates the fallacy that the once-called
"Louvre" server is in any way associated with the Louvre Museum.  Not
only it is not, but it does not carry this name anymore.

For those interested in a real, interesting server allowing querying
a professional database of 130,000 references to art pieces from the 7th
to the 20th century, and which comprises also close to 500 pictures, go to
        http://gauguin.culture.fr:8099/cgi-bin/requete
(it is in french).
