2007 CARE Fellowship Award Announcement


 

The Committee on Audience Research and Evaluation (CARE) of the American Association of Museums (AAM) is currently accepting applications for two CARE Fellowships to the 2007 Annual Meeting of AAM. The fellowships are for $1000 each, awarded to two individuals interested or active in the field of audience research and evaluation. The monies must be used to attend the 2007 AAM Annual Meeting in Chicago. 

 

Eligibility:  The two fellowships are for first-time attendees only -they are restricted to current CARE members who have never before attended an AAM Annual Meeting, and may include students or non-students.

 

Fellowship recipients must....

* Be a current, paid member of CARE at the time of the application

* Attend the CARE Business Meeting at the Annual Meeting

* Attend the CARE Evening Event at the Annual Meeting

* Attend the CARE Issues Luncheon at the Annual Meeting

* Write a short article for the next issue of the Gauge following the Annual Meeting (About the topic you covered if you presented something, or about your experience at the Annual Meeting if you did not present)

* Attend the CARE poster luncheon, either as a presenter or to see what other people are researching

 

Preference will be given to those who are presenting at the Annual Meeting; either in a panel session or presenting a poster (one type of presentation will not be weighed more heavily than the other). 

 

Deadline: Thursday, February 15, 2007.
